Les Caves du Roy

Where: Hôtel Byblos, 27 Avenue Foch, St Tropez

Open: 12am-6am

Les Caves du Roy is located under the pool terrace of Hôtel Byblos, built by Lebanese billionaire hotelier Jean-Prosper Gay-Para to try and win the affections of Brigitte Bardot. Entering the baroque underworld of Les Caves, as it is known by locals, is the ultimate "Welcome to Saint Tropez" – the song of the same name is played several times throughout the night by Resident DJ Jack-E to a dance floor of all ages, who actually know how to dance. The club is open every weekend from April to October and every night for July and August. Making a table reservation is advised, though if you can get past the doormen, entry is free.

VIP Room

Where: Allée du Quai de l’Epi, St Tropez

Open: 8pm-6am

A celebrity hot spot, this glossy venue starts out as Italian/Mediterranean restaurant Le GIOIA and later transforms into a nightclub complete with live performers, dry ice and champagne sparklers. The club opens every night from June until mid-September.

L'Opera

Where: Résidence du Port, St Tropez

Open: 8.30am-3am

For a high-octane evening out in St Tropez, make a reservation at L'Opera, a glamourous, outdoor restaurant with white and gold décor, tongue-in-cheek contemporary art pieces and views of the port. Exotic dancers, flame throwers, and acrobats give table-top performances throughout your meal, while the resident DJ carries the atmosphere into the night. If you plan to stay for the party, be sure to book the second of the two dinner sittings.

Gaio

Where: Rue du 11 Novembre 1918, St Tropez

Open: 8pm-6am

Gaio is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant and club. The venue has been decorated in an art-deco style with views looking back to the village and the port. The food – called Nikkei cuisine – is very good and during summer weekends, you can keep your table for the party afterwards.
